About Us
The International Network to End Violence Against Women and Girls (INEVAWG) was founded in 2014 in response to heightened global concerns about violence against women and girls, increasing levels of impunity, and poor state accountability. INEVAWG foregrounds working from the margins to ensure that local realities inform national, regional, and global human rights and social justice approaches to end violence against women and girls.
Our Story
From its inception, INEVAWG emerged as a political and feminist project — one that refuses silence, challenges injustice, and centers the lived realities of women and girls most affected by violence.
The network works from the margins, centering local realities to shape national and global action. Consciously built by and for Black women in the Global South and women of colour worldwide, INEVAWG is rooted in intersectional feminist and decolonial analysis, building solidarity and feminist movements to challenge structural oppression and realize women’s and girls’ rights.
